MANAGEMENT

Management establishes, implements, maintains Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and supports continually improving its effectiveness that (1) is appropriate for the purpose, context and supports the strategic direction of the organization, (2) provides a framework for setting quality objectives, (3) includes commitment for customer satisfaction and (4) continuous improvement. Management is committed to promoting the use of the Process Approach and Risk-Based Thinking.

DEPARTMENT STRUCTURE QUALITY

Includes Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), led by degreed Quality Manager, Deputy Manager and Quality Engineers with demonstrated passion for EXCELLENCE through INNOVATIONS and staffed with loyal and skilled personnel in an environment that fosters continuous improvements to sustain consistent delivery of distinctive quality products and services.

Acceptance Sampling Plan

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, imposed Acceptance Sampling Plan is (complete description).

Drawing / Print Interpretation

Unless otherwise advised in writing, Drawings and Prints are interpreted in accordance with ANSI 14.5M and/or ISO (Fill In).

Metrology Calibration

All measuring instruments and capital equipment are maintained under calibration and traceable to NIST standard.

SIMPLIFICATION (QC PRODUCT ORIENTED)

  • Coordinate inspections with Manufacturing Engineering to minimize inspection and costs.
    • Combine machining operations.
    • Program multitude dimensions during machining.
    • Confirm validity of Qualified Tooling.
  • Create Master Inspection Instructions (MII) for each part number.
  • Maximize use of attribute gages.
  • Minimize use of variable gages.
  • Assure 2-pan system in use to prevent contamination.
REDUCTION OF INSPECTIONS AND COST REDUCTION

INSPECTIONS

For selective part numbers, AMI issues a completed Master Inspection Instructions (MII) form which classifies each characteristic, specifies dimension or feature to be inspected, establish acceptance sampling criteria, defines measuring instruments to be used, including applicable gage number, for each type of inspection required. The MII also serves as a reference for reduction of inspections and cost reduction.
